9. Robert Pattinson
I, like anyone else with taste, am instantly primed to dislike this guy purely because of his association with the Twilight franchise. If you actually do a little digging, however, it soon becomes clear that he hates it as much as we all do, if not, more. Seriously, just read this quote he gave about how he got the part:
"When you read the book, its like, Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself. I mean, every line is liked that. Hes the most ridiculous person whos so amazing at everything. I think a lot of actors tried to play that aspect. I just couldnt do that. And the more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so thats how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself. Plus, hes a 108 year-old virgin so hes obviously got some issues there."
They certainly don't sound like the words of a fan. What we have, here, is a clear case of someone that was handed a truck-load of money to do a relatively cushy job (and it's not like his performance doesn't do Edward justice); all with legions of women throwing themselves at him in the process. It's not his fault if he's remarkably fortunate. Hating him is like hating someone for winning the lottery. It's not even like he was selling out by taking the role in the first place, seeing as he didn't have much of an established career before hand. Michael Sheen, on the other hand, is a supremely talented man and should have known better.
