8. Seth Rogen
Seth Rogen complaints seem to largely be down to people tiring of him playing a loser, stoner with an unbelievably attractive girlfriend in all of his films. Fair enough, that's true of Knocked Up, Zack and Miri Make a Porno and Pineapple Express, but if we're being fair, then you have to acknowledge that those are all perfectly solid movies. They might not be genre re-defining, but they're all good fun and - more importantly - his appearance doesn't harm or diminish them. But let's dig a little deeper. Seth Rogen has a nice, little 2nd career going as a writer (usually with writing partner, Evan Goldberg). Among his many projects are Superbad (one of the best comedies of the last decade), Da Ali G Show (one of the best comedies of the last decade), and the upcoming This is the End, which looks hilarious. Who knows? Maybe it'll be one of the best comedies of this decade. Oh, and he, like most people in Hollywood, dabbles in producing. Seth Rogen was instrumental in getting hard-sell cancer-comedy 50/50 off the ground and the end result was a wonderfully touching comedy drama that worked on pretty much every level.
