10 Actors Who Suffered Career Meltdowns After Winning Oscars
8. Jean Dujardin
Remember this guy? He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his silent role in The Artist back in 2011. Which feels kind of apt, given that we haven't heard a peep out of him since. Not in the kind of capacity that you'd expect from a Best Actor winner, anyway. A couple of minor roles in the likes of The Wolf of Wall Street and The Monuments Men? Pah! This here's a leading man, Hollywood! What's the big idea? Put it down to his Frenchness, or the fact that he's one of the more forgettable Best Actor winners in recent years, but Dujardin feels almost entirely absent from the Hollywood scene. The man has only made a handful of movies in the wake of his big win. Which is odd, really, given that he was a lot more prolific in the years before he won the Oscar. Where are you, Jean Dujardin? What are you doing? Come back!
