John Krasinski wasted little time throwing us back into the deep end when it came to his second dive into the world of A Quiet Place, with Part II picking up at the moment the armoured aliens with a heightened sense of hearing first made their presence known on Earth.

In this heart-stopping opening, we see the Abbott family's hometown getting torn to pieces by the formidable creatures. Not to mention Emily Blunt's Evelyn trying her level best to evade swerving traffic and an oncoming bus whilst driving her family to safety.

Upon watching this chaos, if you thought Blunt's acting here was even more convincing than usual, that's likely because she was actually experiencing the whole set-piece - stunts included - for the first time during the continuous shot.

Blunt refused to rehearse the scene beforehand as she wanted it to feel as real as possible. Also, she wasn't actually steering the vehicle we see in the sequence. Instead a stunt driver, situated on top of the car, was in control of her fate. Which means the actor's absolutely petrified response to the very real cars exploding and bus speeding towards her was about as close to the real deal as you're going to see on the big screen.
