10 Actors Who HATED Working On Amazing Movies
7. Sir Alec Guinness - Star Wars
Oh, what any movie fan would give to be a fly on the wall when the first Star Wars movie was being made!
The grass-roots budget, the cast and crew making it up as they went along, the imaginative costumes and funny robots...
While over forty years later, there is a huge appreciation for the films, one particular cast member couldn't wait for the whole thing to end. And it wasn't Harrison Ford for a change.
While Sir Alec Guinness might have come across as wise, comforting and understanding as Obi Wan Kenobi, he's the complete opposite as he described the first Star Wars flick as "fairy-tale rubbish" and amidst production issues on set, his negative views might have been warranted.
Sir Alec was famous on set for being grumpy about the project he was working on, and even more famous are his quotes about the film post-release in which he dismissed fans who appreciated his work as the legendary Jedi Master.
Sir Alec Guinness eventually warmed to the film as time went by fandom grew. And I can't help but think his 2% slice of the profits helped sway his feelings in the end too.
