10 Actors Who Haven't Given A Good Movie Performance In Over A Decade
7. Dennis Quaid
Dennis Quaid is a strange one in that hes always appeared in films of middling quality. Hes never actively bad in them, but hes not always overtly good, either Hes just kind of there. Every so often, though, hed find the right role and remind you what a damn good actor he can be. Think Traffic (2000), Todd Haynes masterful, gorgeous Far From Heaven (2002), or Oliver Stones Any Given Sunday (1998), which sees Quaid excel as ageing Quarterback Jack Cap Rooney. No such luck lately though, and in fact Quaids last good role was that of Haynes aforementioned near-masterpiece. Since then its been uninspired remakes (Flight Of The Phoenix, 2004), inanimate thrillers (Vantage Point, 2008), and formulaic genre pictures (What To Expect When Youre Expecting, 2012). With nothing promising forthcoming on his filmography either, Dennis Quaid is in desperate need of a project in the vein of Traffic, Heaven or Sunday. Until then, hell continue to meander in the wilderness hes been lost in for a while.
