10 Actors Who Haven't Made A Good Movie In YEARS

5. Billy Bob Thornton

There's no two ways about it - as an actor, Billy Bob Thornton rules, and yet that's hardly reflected in his cinematic output as of late.

Thornton hasn't shown up in a good movie since his supporting role in 2016's Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (68%), with some of his subsequent projects including the wildly disappointing Bad Santa 2 (23%), London Fields (0%), and Netflix's colossally underwhelming The Gray Man (46%).

And Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is itself an outlier, given that Thornton's last live-action role in an acclaimed movie prior to that was 2004's Chrystal. To clarify: he's starred in more than 20 critical duds over the last two decades.

Thornton does at least mix in the occasional TV project, like Fargo, Goliath, and 1883, to ensure you can find him doing quality work somewhere, but sadly far away from the big screen.

Thornton at least still has a majorly commanding screen presence, so it feels like he's just one right project away from breaking the streak.
