10 Actors Who Hid That They Were In Famous Movies
2. Samuel L. Jackson - Iron Man
Only six years after the whole shebang kicked off and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in a very different place compared to where it started. When Iron Man was first released the game plan was as vague as Tony Stark's interest in Pepper Potts, with just knowing that The Incredible Hulk was on the way satisfying most fans. Now we have the game-plan for the next five years down to a T.
Today you can't imagine something as big as freaking Samuel L. Jackson appearing in a movie uncredited to have slipped by the legions of fans, but that's exactly what happened with his debut appearance as Nick Fury in Iron Man. It's only one scene at the end of the credits, but it's such a pivotal element of what the film led to that in terms of legacy it might as well have been the whole movie.
Those eternal bastions of revealing the deepest secrets of upcoming movies, Ain't It Cool News, did report on Jackson's involvement in the film a year or so ahead of release, but with the big actor's only appearance in the end credits and this being a time before post-credit stings were commonplace, early reports led to the rumours being downplayed; it ended up still being a surprise for everyone.
