10 Actors Who Hid That They Were In Famous Movies
4. James Marsden And Famke Janssen - X-Men: Days Of Future Past
X-Men: Days Of Future Past gave us the biggest ensemble of mutants we've yet seen on screen, bringing back a plethora of old favourites. Two characters no one really expected to see, however, were Jean Grey and Scott Summers (played by Famke Janssen and James Marsden respectively), killed off almost a decade ago. Which made it all the more delightful when the pair swung by up in a mind-bending final scene.
When Hugh Jackman popped up in First Class as a gruffer Wovlerine fans were delighted to see the old favourite, but far from surprised; of course they'd shoe-horn Logan in there somehow. But here, with both actors appearing in slight, yet significant roles and so much auxiliary action going on, it was a genuine surprise; although Kelsey Grammar's incredibly brief moment as an older Beast was revealed ahead of release, Marsden and Janssen's appearances were kept nicely under wraps.
A good thing too. The cameos would have been a massive spoiler, betraying the film's real goals; although it presented itself as a fun, time-travel joining of the two X-Men timelines, Days Of Future Past was really all about writing the series' lesser entries out of existence.
