In early 2020, it was announced that James Mangold (Logan, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) would be directing a Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, with Timothée Chalamet set to star as the folk legend.

The pandemic and scheduling issues have kept the film from shooting as of yet, though Mangold and Chamalet both remain committed to filming the project from this coming March.

In fact, casting announcements have been ramping up elsewhere, with Benedict Cumberbatch cast last May to play singer Pete Seeger, who was one of Dylan's earliest and most vocal backers.

Once again, scheduling conflicts caused Cumberbatch to exit the film, and it was recently confirmed that he'd been replaced by Edward Norton.

Cumberbatch certainly seemed like a fine fit for what would presumably be a juicy supporting role in a long-awaited biopic, though if you're gonna be replaced by anyone, Edward Norton's always going to be a damn fine pick.
