10 Actors Who Made A Terrible Movie Right After Winning An Oscar
8. Jeff Bridges - Tron: Legacy (2010)
Won An Oscar For: Crazy Heart (2009) When Jeff Bridges finally bagged an Oscar for his turn in the musically-inclined Crazy Heart, it felt like he was winning for years and years of great work, spanning a multitude of genres and eclectic performances; Bridges is remembered for his work in Tron just as much as he is for roles in The Last Picture Show, Starman and The Big Lebowski, after all. That said, however, it probably wasn't a great idea for Bridges to unveil a new Tron movie in the wake of receiving an Academy Award, because who the heck was asking for a new Tron movie, twenty-eight years after the original first hit cinema screens? Tron: Legacy saw Bridges reprising his role as Kevin Flynn, and - as with most sequels made in this vein - it involved a plot in which the former main character's son has to rescue the father (been there, done that). Though the visual aspects of the movie - and Olivia Wilde - were plainly stunning, it felt beneath Bridge and a total waste of his talents.
