The Role: An undisclosed part as one of the Bellas, and though Rebel Wilson tried to bring her on-board, Lovato rejected the offer, deciding to focus instead on her music and upcoming tour dates. Why They Regret Turning It Down: Given that to date Lovato hasn't had a single acting role in a movie (it's all been TV), this would've been a significant leap for her "brand", and what better movie for a musician to cameo in than, well, a musical? This would've been a smart PR and marketing move for the singer, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. Would It Have Worked?: Totally. It's not like the roles in these movies are especially demanding: you need to be able to sing and the rest feels pretty thrown together on-the-fly.
