10 Actors Who Never Get The Praise They Deserve

10. William H. Macy

william h macy fargo William H. Macy is an incredibly accomplished actor, he is an Academy Award nominee, Golden Globe nominee, Emmy winner, the lead in a hit tv show and he has worked with directors such as Paul Thomas Anderson, the Coen brothers, Gus Van Sant, Woody Allen and David Lynch, yet to a wider audience, he is a complete unknown. Macy is the definition of a character actor and prefers working on smaller independent pictures than larger studio productions, though he did turn up in Air Force One. He's not a man anybody would mistake for an actor, but he can do it all - his quietly pained performance in Boogie Nights is extraordinarily sympathetic and heart-wrenching. He's not a natural leading man but his central performance as Frank Gallagher in the US version of Shameless is one of the best currently on tv. He doesn't look or sound like a movie star, but he's one hell of an actor. Best 5 Movies:
1. Boogie Nights 2. Magnolia 3. Fargo 4. Inland Empire 5. The Cooler
