10 Actors Who Never Get The Praise They Deserve

1. James Woods

james woods James Woods is a two time Academy Award nominee, yet he appears to have been forgotten by Hollywood and a wider audience in general. He's been directed by everybody from Sergio Leone to Oliver Stone to Martin Scorsese to David Cronenberg, and has delivered brilliant performances from every one of them. He's one of the most psychologically interesting actors to ever appear on a cinema screen, as he has played a variety of complex creations in some of the most brilliant movies ever made. Woods is probably best known for his role in David Cronenberg's Videodrome as a cable executive relentlessly haunted by nightmares. It's a brave performance in a bizarre movie, and one Woods should be incredibly proud of, for it's acting at its finest. Many of Woods' great movies have been forgotten, lost in time or simply not commercial enough to survive the decades. It seems a long time ago now, but Woods was one of the best character actors in the world during the 80's and 90's, because these days he can mostly be seen popping up in Family Guy now and then. Whilst there is nothing wrong with that, and the episodes in which he features are often very funny, it's a shame to not see him on the big screen, creating intrigue and suspense in his own brilliant way. As a result of Woods' absence from big movies, his career and many outstanding performances have been sadly forgotten, and his acclaim has been reduced to cult circles. Top 5 Movies: 1. Once Upon A Time in America 2. Videodrome 3. Nixon 4. Casino 5. Salvador
