10 Actors Who Physically Transformed Themselves For 2015 Movies

1. Joseph Gordon-Levitt - The Walk/Snowden

Joseph Gordon-Levitt finds himself physically transformed for two upcoming movie roles in 2015, both of which see the actor starring as real life people. The first movie, The Walk, helmed by the likes of Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Cast Away), poises Gordon-Levitt as French high-wire artist Philippe Petit, who became famous after he walked between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre in 1974. In order to play Petit, Gordon-Levitt has adopted a very strange haircut that probably didn't even look right in the '70s. His skin also looks a lot paler than usual. The second flick, titled Snowden, casts the actor in the role of whistleblower Edward Snowden, who became infamous when he leaked documents unveiling a secret US government NSA program a few years ago. This chronicling of Snowden's life means that Gordon-Levitt will have to change his appearance across the span of the years, though mostly the extent of his transformation here pretty much hinges on "wearing glasses." Given that Snowden is directed by Oliver Stone, both roles ensure that - no matter what - 2015 is going to be a great year for the likes of Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
