Breaking Bad is one of the most beloved shows of the new golden age of television and Walter White is rightly considered one of the best antiheroes of all time. Walter's wife Skyler, however, is a whole different story. As is the story of the actress who plays her, Anna Gunn.

As it turns out, fans of Breaking Bad have a huge problem with Skyler because of the fact that she often gets in the way of Walter White and his criminal ambitions. That's crazy enough on its own, you know, considering that Walt has killed people and manufactures an illegal drug that ruins lives. But even crazier is the fact that these fans have taken their hate for Skyler so far that they've threatened to kill the actress who plays her. That's right; they don't like the idea of a fictional character stopping another fictional character from committing crimes, so they're ready to commit a very real-life crime in order to stop the actress that plays said fictional character. If that makes no sense to you it's because it doesn't make sense.

Anna Gunn was rightly frightened about these threats, and after taking steps to ensure her safety, Gunn wrote a public op-ed in the New York Times where she asked, "how had disliking a character spiraled into homicidal rage at the actress playing her?"
