10 Actors Who Received Death Threats For Insane Reasons

If you're trying to find Josh McDermitt on social media these days, unfortunately you're out of luck. Even more unfortunately is the fact that the actor who plays Eugene on The Walking Dead had to suspend his social media accounts after receiving multiple death threats. And all because the character he plays, Eugene, sided with the villain, Negan, in The Walking Dead.

After the episode aired showing Eugene betraying Rick's camp, online hatred for the character began to spread week after week. And while it's totally fine to hate a TV character for being a backstabbing coward, what's not okay is threatening to kill the actor that plays that character. Because, again, it's entertainment. When McDermitt read all the threats he was getting he went on Facebook Live and told people, "don’t send me death threats, because I will report all that sh*t to the cops." He then quit social media and the crazy people that threatened him all came to their senses.

Actually, that last part definitely didn't happen.
