However, thanks to the eventual leading light of Breaking Bad's sheer commitment to the part of hapless dad Hal over the course of the series, said stunt was simply another day at the office for Cranston as he went out of his way to embrace a staggering coat of actual live bees.

Coming after he'd been jokingly poked about whether he'd ever agree to such a stunt and the writers swiftly writing it into the series once it was clear no double would be necessary, Cranston was ultimately covered in 75,000 honey bees and only actually got stung on one occasion throughout filming. Unfortunately said sting just so happened to go down on what the actor described as his own "bees" when recalling the incident during an appearance on Live! with Kelly.
