Judging from his most recent exploits in the likes of The Meg and The Fast and the Furious franchise, you wouldn't be quick to label British action badass Jason Statham as a star reluctant to be in the vicinity of all things CGI.

But, as it goes, that way of getting the job done is one of the major reasons you haven't seen the one-liner machine pop up in a big-screen Marvel Cinematic Universe project to date. Speaking back in 2015, Statham mocked the over-reliance on all things digital in Marvel's outings, stating, “I could take my grandma and put her in a cape, and they’ll put her on a green screen, and they’ll have stunt doubles come in and do all the action." Going one further, Statham ensured Kevin Feige understood his stance by confessing, "Anybody can do it.”

With Statham being something of a dying breed of action star, always happy to throw his body into whatever is asked of him instead of falling back on digital cover-ups, it definitely looks like it'd take an extremely CGI-less project to lure him into Marvel's playground. And even then, he'd likely double-check his grandma's availability first...
