10 Actors Who RUINED Movies In A Single Scene
5. Madonna Pulls Out A Sword - Die Another Day
After somehow making it through the wilderness, the 'Queen of Pop' only went and made the briefest of appearances in what would eventually go down as arguably the worst James Bond feature of all time.
Impressive.
And while there may be some who would point to everything from the truly pitiful CGI to particularly dumb invisible cars as the moments that completely ruined any chances of Die Another Day becoming yet another celebrated 007 outing, those comically bad elements were nothing compared to Madonna's short and anything but sweet cameo in the 2002 action flick.
Because singing this film's Bond tune simply wasn't enough, Madonna ultimately showed up as a fencing instructor called Verity, one who naturally proceeds to flirt with the secret agent within seconds of meeting.
Despite largely only being required to deliver a few cheeky one-liners in her two-minutes of screen-time, though, the pop icon produces a painfully wooden performance as she introduces James to the then-latest Bond villain Gustav Graves.
Cock fight innuendos and a lack of chemistry between herself and anyone else she's sharing a frame with resulted in a swift but fairly agonising sequence that dragged you right out of a Bond experience that only got worse from there.
