10 Actors Who Should Play Ben Affleck’s Batman Villains

9. David Tennant As The Riddler (Dr. Edward Nigma)

Other contenders: Paul Sparks, James Badge Dale, Ben Foster Riddle us this internet dwellers? Who would you like to see play Edward Nygma on the big-screen? Over the past few weeks Cory Michael Smith has been portraying the character on FOX's small-screen adaptation Gotham and he's actually been doing an admirable job. However, for a feature film depiction we need to take things up a few notches and we nominate David Tennant for the job. The Riddler has loads of untapped potential for reinvention: obsessed with torturing his victims with insanely convoluted puzzles, traps and sickening clues, a contemporary Riddler seems to be right up Tennant's alley. Tennant is probably best known for his role as the tenth incarnation of the Doctor in the Doctor Who series, and we'd like to argue that he most certainly has the credentials to make for a memorable Riddler. Aside from the fact that his look would make for an irresistible version of Edward Nygma, he has the kind of diverse on-screen presence that begs for a role as considerable and villainous as the contemporary Riddler€™s deserves to be.
