Someone has been spreading rumours about Zac Efron. Pretty much since Spider-Man returning to the MCU was a thing, his name has been circulating and he's already admitted that he'd be interested (obviously): Are you kidding? It would be a dream come true, he said. I think it would be an honor. I would tear it up. Pros He has charisma, recognisability and profile, and regardless what anyone who has seen High School Musical says, he's actually a handy actor now. More than anything, his casting would be all about his persona, and while there would inevitably be groaning, comic book movies have cast against type and succeeded enough times already for it to almost be a cliche. Cons He's Zac Efron, and no matter how many Oscars he might win or little tiny kittens he might save from house fires, that will be the defining memory of his career. Being Zac Efron.
