11 Actors Who Should Play Spider-Man In Captain America: Civil War
6. Miles Teller
Between slapping the pig skins opposite J Jonah Jameson himself in Whiplash (a plus if Teller was to become Spidey long term and JK Simmons was rightfully returned as Jameson) and stretching himself thin for Fantastic Four, Teller has had a busy time of it. And he's seeing the fruits of his labours in his growing profile. He's apparently already turned the opportunity of the role down in the past, because of the requirements of carrying an entire franchise, but after Whiplash he should feel like he can now do that. Pros If Marvel and Sony are looking to cast somebody on the up, they'll be hard-pressed to find anyone who fits the bill better. And by the time shooting comes around (barring a post-credits kicker on either Ant-Man or The Avengers 2 or both), he will already have one major comic book movie release under his belt, which helped Captain America rather well. Cons Already, if you listen closely enough you'll be able to hear an army of army finger soldiers smashing into the comments section at the end of this very article suggesting that there's absolutely no way Marvel could use a Fantastic Four lead actor. Presumably, Chris Evans won't be among those particular commenters. Also, he did once say this...
"If it was Spider-Man, that entire movie's on my shoulders and that's a more isolating experience. I don't know if I would be into it, but the fact that it's a movie that I knew we'd share... the superhero world, that's a whole different animal. That's a pretty serious commitment."
