10 Actors Who Stole Movies In A Single Scene

8. Sean Harris - Harry Brown

Glengarry Glen Ross Alec Baldwin

Harry Brown may be centered around Michael Caine's titular pensioner-turned-vigilante, but the best performance in the movie comes totally out of nowhere half-way through the story.

While following the breadcrumbs to avenge his friend Len's (David Bradley) murder, Harry crosses paths with drug dealer and sexual abuser Stretch (Sean Harris).

From the moment Harry encounters Stretch, Sean Harris' skin-crawling screen presence becomes self-evident.

From his deeply offputting demeanour to his wildly unnerving physical tics, Harris makes you loathe this guy in record time, enough that when Harry blows him away at the end of the scene, it feels like a mercy for everyone watching.

Michael Caine's certainly no acting slouch throughout the movie or this sequence, yet Harris brings such authentically horrific life to his minor character within a span of 10 minutes that he leaves the deepest impression of all.

Furthermore, Harris' performance here was pivotal in Christopher McQuarrie deciding to later cast him as villain Solomon Lane in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation.
