There are certain names and legends in the movie industry that most actors would give anything to work with, whether it's a scene opposite Harrison Ford, being directed by a Martin Scorsese or a Christopher Nolan, or even dreaming of joining a huge franchise in the ilk of Star Wars or the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Even someone with as impressive a career as Bill Murray isn't exempt from this, and naturally, when he saw a script penned by Joel Cohen, he jumped at the chance to appear.

Already thinking that lending his voice to an animated film would be fun, seeing Cohen's name on the script sealed the deal for Murray to star as Garfield in 2004. However, he didn't become aware of his mistake until it was too late, leading to him making two films that he has since been very vocal about his disdain for.

It was Joel Coen, iconic director best known at the time for directing the likes of Barton Fink, Fargo, and The Big Lebowski with his brother Ethan, that Murray was excited to work with, not Joel Cohen, whose name was on the script. An easy mistake to make? Sure. Something that probably should have been looked into before signing on the dotted line? Absolutely.
