5. Wesley Snipes I Can't Leave The Country Right Now....I 'Forgot' To Pay US Income Taxes For 6 Years
Yes, Wesely Snipes did turn down the role of Hale Ceasar in the Expendables. Well, turn down is a bit harsh. More like he was forced. Due to the fact that he 'forgot' to pay his taxes for several years, he was under the jurisdiction of a US Federal Court ie he was on lockdown, not allowed to leave the country even to do a comeback movie role. Eventually, he would be jailed on tax evasion also preventing him from taking part in Expendables 2. Perhaps if he had made a promise to pay his back taxes with his Expendables' paycheck instead of making the argument that he was a non-resident alien of the US he could have avoided jail time. (Snipes was living in the US at the time and is a natural born US citizen)
