10 Actors Who Wanted To Quit Huge Movie Franchises

9. Jessica Alba - Fantastic Four

Jessica Alba didn't only almost quit the role of Sue Storm due to her experience filming the Fantastic Four series; it almost made her quit acting altogether.

The first Fantastic Four movie was a breakout hit in a pre-Marvel universe world, and the sequel Rise of the Silver Surfer was a tough production for Alba.

She was essentially made to feel like a mannequin during filming, with director Tim Story telling her to "be prettier" when she cried as her acting was too real and painful. She was told to focus on the flatness of her face as they could CGI the tears in post-production.

Alba felt like the crew didn't want her to be a person in her work, and wondered whether the business was truly for her. Luckily for Alba, Rise of the Silver Surfer was the last instalment in the Fantastic Four franchise, so she didn't need to quit.

Chances are I’m watching a movie or replaying Mass Effect rather than doing anything productive.
