10 Actors Who Were Born To Play Their MCU Roles
2. Chris Evans As Steve Rogers
It is hard to imagine the Avengers without Captain America, and it is certainly hard to imagine Captain America without Chris Evans.
Though Steve Rogers has departed from the Cap moniker in the MCU, Evans made the war veteran a fan favourite almost overnight in Captain America: The First Avenger and 2012's The Avengers.
Seeing how the character had retired by the end of Avengers: Endgame, after Rogers lived the life he dreamt of having with Peggy Carter, it is now up to Sam Wilson to take up the mantle of Captain America.
When asked about the role by The Hollywood Reporter at the D23 Expo, Wilson actor Anthony Mackie replied that he was looking forward to making the character "fun and easy" and that "there will be moments where Sam Wilson gets to have his fun".
With the ending Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier truly solidifying Sam as the new Captain America, and the announcement that Wilson will be getting his first big screen outing as the hero in Captain America: New World Order, it will certainly take a lot for Mackie to live up to the brilliance that Chris Evans has created around the Sentinel of Liberty.
