10 Actors Who Will Ruin 2019 Films

6. Mel Gibson - Boss Level

Although it seems as though Hollywood has absolved Mel Gibson of his sins, with the Oscar nominations for Hacksaw Ridge suggesting the industry has moved beyond his controversial past, he hasn't had anywhere near as much luck on camera as he has behind it.

Spending most of his time playing a generic action hero in the likes of How I Spent My Summer Vacation and The Expendables 3, the actor has recently tried to recapture his audience by appearing in Daddy's Home 2 and Blood Father, but even those flicks didn't quite make a strong case for the actor being able to give a performance like he used to.

Starring alongside Frank Grillo in Boss Level, an upcoming Edge of Tomorrow-esque sci-fi action film, the actor seems to be once again reverting to his late-career type. Though not confirmed, it's likely he'll be playing the villain, and it's difficult to see him not slipping back into the same caricature persona he's adopted so often recently.

Which is a shame, because the premise for Boss Level does sound like a load of fun, and it could be undone if Gibson can't make for a compelling enough foil.
