10 Actors Who Will Ruin 2019 Films

4. Kristen Wiig - Wonder Woman 1984

Before we even knew where the sequel to Wonder Woman was going to be set, fans knew that Kristen Wiig was going to be playing the supervillain Cheetah. One of the superhero's oldest recurring villains, Wiig is a rather inspired choice, not least because she's primarily known for starring in straight comedies like Bridesmaids.

The closest she's gotten to playing a true villain was a quick cameo in Mother!, but even then her casting was specifically to draw attention to just how surreal and jarring the events viewers were witnessing actually were.

That's not to say Kristen Wiig isn't a great actor, it's just not clear whether her skills lie in being the villain of a superhero blockbuster. The original movie had the same problem with David Thewlis, another exceptional talent who felt a little miscast as Ares. Still, there have been rumours that Wiig won't actually be the main villain at all, but simply one of the foils Wonder Woman has to deal with in the sequel.
