1. Will Forte - Scoob!

And finally, we have the upcoming animated Scooby Doo reboot Scoob!, which has made the unfortunate decision to cast Will Forte as Shaggy.

Forte is a perfectly talented comedian, but does he embody the coarse-throated stoner vibe that fans expect from the character? Absolutely not.

Given that Matthew Lillard gave a fantastic performance as Shaggy in both live-action movies and has enjoyed a lucrative career voicing Shaggy in animation ever since, it's an extremely questionable recast that makes no sense whatsoever.

You can argue that Warner Bros. was opting for a more squeaky-clean vibe that hews away from the more subtly adult prior iterations of the character, but isn't that cheeky, rough-hewn scuzziness exactly why people love Shaggy so much?

Forte's version just sounds like a bland, sanitised version without any distinct personality of its own. To make matters worse, nobody even bothered to tell Matthew Lillard:
