10 Actors Who Won't Be Coming Back For Upcoming Sequels
1. Jeremy Renner - Mission: Impossible 6
Jeremy Renner has been in two whole Mission: Impossible movies, but you probably forgot that, didn't you? Hey, even Jeremy Renner likely forgot, because he wasn't that memorable in either film. At least, nobody remembers the name of his character, or what he did across the span of both Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation.
Due to scheduling conflicts with Marvel, however, Renner won't be able to return for the upcoming Mission: Impossible 6 - something the actor is reported to be a bit sad about. His commitments playing superhero Hawkeye - a marginally more interesting role, presumably with a bigger pay check - prevented the actor from signing onto further IMF-based adventures, so he's officially off of the team.
Those other, better supporting characters, played by Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Alec Baldwin will be back, however, so you have nothing to worry about there.
What It Means For The Film:
To be honest, this is probably a blessing in disguise, given that William Brandt - that's his character's name, by the way - was never that interesting and was given all the boring stuff to do, like fill in exposition, act as a stick in the mud, and stare at Tom Cruise doing all those stunts with a "What the hell?" expression stuck on his face.
