10 Actors Who Won't Be Coming Back For Upcoming Sequels

2. Jake Johnson - Jurassic World 2

From New Girl breakout to blockbuster star, Jake Johnson has officially carved out a place for himself in Hollywood as the comedy sidekick of recent times.

Though Johnson recently appeared as Tom Cruise's buddy in that admittedly lackluster remake of The Mummy, it was in 2015's Jurassic World that he offered up most of the movie's big laughs as computer nerd and dinosaur uber-fan Lowrey.

It's a shame, then, that whilst Jurassic World 2 - set for release in 2018 - is set to bring back most of the principal cast of the original, including the likes of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and even Jeff Goldblum, Johnson isn't involved. He's been cut right out of the follow-up, making that Goldblum/Johnson team-up impossible.

What It Means For The Film:

They'll have to find another character to wise-crack his or her way through the events of the movie. Though, considering that Jurassic World 2 has been talked up as an incredibly "dark" and "scary" film, perhaps the studio is eschewing comic relief aspects entirely. Whatever the case may be... Lowery, you will be sorely missed.
