10 Actors Who Will Definitely Win An Oscar One Day

9. Tom Hardy

After a bit-part in Black Hawk Down, Tom Hardy's Hollywood breakthrough was over almost as soon as it had begun due to the critically and commercially disappointing Star Trek: Nemesis. Returning to his native United Kingdom to hone his craft, almost a decade later the actor made a lasting impression on audiences with a string of memorable roles. Solidly working away for the next several years, Hardy's real big break came with his unforgettable turn as the title character in Bronson, the biopic of one of Britain's most infamous prisoners. Quite simply, it is one of the greatest acting performances of the 21st Century and marked the arrival of a real talent. Immensely dedicated, the actor has greatly impressed in recent years in the likes of Inception, Warrior, The Dark Knight Rises and Lawless. This year's Locke served as a powerful showcase for Hardy's talents, providing a one-man platform for the actor's incredible range despite being set in a single, cramped location. The 36 year-old's naturalistic, soulful acting style that can go from quiet calm to full-blown range at the flick of a switch will no doubt be picking up Academy Award nominations sooner rather than later, with the actor destined to only get better with age and experience.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
