8. Timothée Chalamet - Wonka & Going Electric

This was a real coin toss in choosing which project is more significant, so why not choose both? After all, he’s singing in the two. Timothée Chalamet is quickly becoming the nucleus of Hollywood, and at such a young age, it’s extraordinary just how talented this guy is. He's a Swiss army knife of an actor; possessing the perfect balance of Jackman's jack-of-all-trade multifaceted versatility and DiCaprio's depth and virtuosity.

Chalamet is almost certainly the most in-demand actor working today, and it’s easy to see why, considering his ascent is unlike anything seen for a long time. Timothée is already Academy Award nominated, and a win or two is inevitable in the near future. The following films showcase a talent not yet maximised to its potential on the silver screen; his musical capabilities. Not only this, however, but also his inability to be deterred from portraying beloved fictional and non-fictional figures of historical and societal significance.

It’s not the first time the 26-year-old has done so, but it’s a big deal this time. Wonka (pictured above) and Going Electric will see the actor portray a young Willy Wonka and Bob Dylan, respectively, and will explore the pair's journeys that helped shape their careers and legacies. The Dune star will be aware of the expectation and pressure attached to bringing the two men to life on-screen, but it's forecast he will pass both tests with flying colours and solidify his own cinematic legacy by doing so.
