10 Actors You Didn't Know Have Signed Insane Sequel Deals

9. Tom Hardy - Mad Max

Number Of Films: 3 More

Mad Max: Fury Road was always going to inspire a full reboot, but Tom Hardy from signed on to a further 3 pictures before it even hit cinemas. That's right: Hardy has so much faith in George Miller's rebooted franchise that he's committed himself to a further 3 pictures, which presumably depends on how well the first of the series fares at the box office come next month. "Everything€™s based on figures and how things are perceived," he said on the matter.

"Inevitably it€™s a business." Going but the early buzz, though, the movie is looking to be something of a doozy, so there's a real chance that Hardy could find himself reprising this iconic role in further flicks and potentially cement himself as a Mad Max to rival that of Mel Gibson.

7. Mark Wahlberg - Transformers

Number Of Films: 2 More (At Least) "Yeah," said Mark Wahlberg when asked whether he would return to that once beloved toy franchise turned gargantuan film franchise. "I've committed to doing a couple more." Which is to say that the actor - who starred in the lead role for Michael Bay's latest travesty, Transformers: Age of Extinction - has agreed to reprise his overprotective dad character in a further two movies in exchange for lots and lots of money, because the man really can't be into this franchise for its artistic qualities, can he? So Transformers 5 and 6 will feature added Wahlberg, and there's even a chance that - should the studio ever get around to making Transformers 7 and 8 (God have mercy) - the actor will be back, given that the exact number of sequels he has agreed to star in is unknown (but it's at least two). This is neither good news or bad news, of course; it's just irreverent news, because who cares?
