2. Samuel L. Jackson - The Exorcist III

The Exorcist III may well be one of the most underrated horror sequels of all time - an un-commercial yet endlessly fascinating attempt to do something completely different with the franchise.

This is likely why even hardcore horror fans might not know that the great Samuel L. Jackson makes a seconds-long appearance in Lt. Kinderman's (George C. Scott) infamous dream sequence, showing up fleetingly as a blind man.

It doesn't help that the scene is packed out with other, more obviously disarming cameos such as Patrick Ewing as the Angel of Death and Fabio as a fellow angel, but even so, Jackson's presence is so uncharacteristically unassuming that he's easily missed.

1990 turned out to be quite the year for Jackson, a little-known actor at the time, who also had small roles in Goodfellas and Spike Lee's Mo' Better Blues, helping put him on the map and establish him as a bonafide star in the years that followed.
