10 Actors You Had No Idea Were Still Making Movies

5. Brendan Fraser

Brendan Fraser's breakthrough performance in The Mummy over 20 years ago seemed to launch a solid career as a charismatic leading man, but a series of poor choices led to a string of critical and commercial disasters, and the actor never managed to recapture anything close to that kind of momentum again.

Although he kept himself busy on television, most people probably didn't even notice that Fraser took a five-year hiatus from appearing in any movies whatsoever following the release of The Nut Job in 2014. A constant fixture of 'Whatever Happened To...?' lists in recent years, even less people are likely aware that he's started mounting a comeback of sorts, but it hasn't exactly gotten off to the most auspicious of starts.

The 51 year-old ended his self-imposed exile from the big screen in Bollywood of all places, starring as an undercover cop in last year's Line of Descent, before returning Stateside to lend support to direct-to-video stalwarts John Travolta, Morgan Freeman and Robert Patrick in The Poison Rose, which currently holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of 0%. Nobody said his comeback was going to be easy.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
