10 Actors You Never Knew Were Child Stars

1. Kurt Russell

2958_kurt_russell_03 When people talk about Disney child stars, they don't normally think of Kurt Russell. But they should, because long before he was starring in Tombstone or even The Thing, he was in the Disney stable of stars. In fact, he was signed to a ten-year contract in 1960 by Walt Disney himself. In 1962, when Russell was only 11 years old, he got his first acting role, featured in the television show The Dick Powell Theatre. By the time he was 18, he was featured regularly in many of the popular live-action Disney films of the day, including Follow Me, Boys and The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit. After his stint as a child actor, he went on to play minor league baseball, before returning to the acting profession and proving once and for all that apparently God does sometimes give with both hands.
