milla-modeling-1987-2-1010-lg Born in Soviet-era Ukraine, Milla Jovovich emigrated to sunny California as a child. When she was eleven years old, she was spotted by photographer Richard Avedon, and was offered a modelling contract within a year. With her striking good looks and natural talent, she was one of the few teen models who was able to transition into acting. Her first film role came in 1988, when she was 12, with a supporting role in Two Moon Junction. She followed that up with several other projects throughout her teen years. Milla was on Married with Children at fourteen, starred in Return to the Blue Lagoon at 16, and had a supported role in the acclaimed film Chaplin by the time she was 17. As an adult, she went on to feature in the cult classic The Fifth Element, as well as starring in the Resident Evil franchise.
