10 Actors You Never Noticed In Movies

If you're an '80s or '90s kid, there's a good chance you watched Steven Spielberg's Hook a whole hell of a lot in your youth, but how old were you when you realised that Glenn Close was in it? Were you today years old?

Close shows up briefly as one of Captain Hook's (Dustin Hoffman) pirates, Gutless, who gets in hot water after betting against Hook defeating Peter Pan (Robin Williams).

When Hook learns about this, he confronts Gutless, who confesses and is promptly punished by being shoved inside the Boo Box - a small chest that has scorpions dropped inside it.

No matter that Close is an extremely recognisable actress and was certainly well known to audiences back in 1991, apparently gluing a huge beard to her face and giving her a ratty wig was enough to completely transform her.

Granted, audiences certainly didn't expect to see Close showing up in such a role, and context is really half the battle here. 

Still, it's fun to see people still learning about Close's role almost an entire 35 years after Hook's release.
