10 Actors You Never Noticed In Movies

6. Nick Offerman - Sin City

The great Nick Offerman didn't fully break through as an actor until he won the star-making role of Ron Swanson in hit sitcom Parks and Recreation, which premiered in 2009.

Prior to this, he'd however made small appearances in dozens of high-profile movies and TV shows, such as The West Wing, 24, Deadwood, Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, and as we're here to talk about, 2005's Sin City.

In Robert Rodriguez's terrific adaptation of Frank Miller's gritty graphic novel, Offerman is virtually unrecognisable as Burt Schlubb - a buffoonish, goatee-clad hitman who rocks bleach blonde hair along with ear and nose piercings and a black leather jacket. Oh, and he gets his ass summarily kicked by protagonist Hartigan (Bruce Willis).

It's the most un-Nick Offerman type of role imaginable really, which combined with the film's low-lit noir-style look, makes it incredibly easy to miss that it's even him playing the part at all. What a trip.
