10 Actors You Totally Forgot Were In Harry Potter Movies

6. Toby Jones

Part of what makes Dobby the House Elf so adorable (and initially so annoying, actually) is the vocal performance that goes along with his slightly goofy look. He has the soft voice of someone who has never been allowed to speak up, who has suffered unspeakably and who is almost ashamed of what he is when he has to talk to others.

Think of the heart-breaking delivery of his final lines ("Such a beautiful place. . . to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend. . . Harry Potter"), and it's almost impossible to think of him sounding any other way than the way he's captured there.

That performance comes courtesy of British star Toby Jones, known for playing Culverton Smith in Sherlock, Dr. Arnim Zola in the MCU and Claudius Templesmith in The Hunger Games (among many, many other roles). Again, he does such a good job disguising his voice that it's basically impossible to know it's him without looking it up.
