Jennifer Lawrence has the franchise and comic book bona fides to match any Hollywood actresss resume; not to mention stellar acting chops that won her an Academy Award for Best Actress at the age of 24. Lawrence already displayed her action prowess in the hugely successful Hunger Games franchise as Katniss Everdeen. If that wasnt enough to qualify Lawrence for the job, she recently conquered the box office again in another Marvel-based property, X-Men: Day of Future Past. In the feature, Lawrence played the shape-shifting mutant, Mystique, who uses her powers of seduction along with mean roundhouse kicks to threaten the future of both humanity and mutant-kind. After working alongside Magneto and Wolverine, Lawrence should have no problem transitioning to the Avengers. In the relatively short span of her career so far, Jennifer Lawrence appears to have the Midas touch that produces box office gold while simultaneously garnering critical accolades. With Lawrence at the helm, a female version of Thor could prove to be a massive hit with mainstream appeal. When the last of the Hunger Games movies make its way through theatres, Lawrence could be poised to take a stab at portraying another empowered heroine for the masses.
