10. Penelope Cruz - Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

In the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Penelope Cruz came aboard to play Angelica, the love interest of Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and daughter of the villainous Blackbeard (Blackbeard).

And this being a swashbuckling action-adventure franchise as it is, a Pirates movie requires a certain amount of physicality from its cast, as became a bit of an issue when Cruz learned that she was two months pregnant during shooting.

But the production quickly came up with some nifty solutions: for sequences that didn't require Cruz to perform any stunts, the costume department simply gave her baggier and more elastic clothing to better disguise the growing baby bump.

Meanwhile for action scenes, Cruz suggested that her sister Mónica, who both bears an uncanny resemblance to her sibling and is a trained dancer, double for her.

That's what they went with, and as forgettable as the movie itself might be, you'd never guess from watching it that the production had to accommodate her pregnancy, which was seven months along by the time shooting finally wrapped.
