Though not quite as physically demanding a role as Wonder Woman, there's no denying the conditioning and athleticism required for Catherine Zeta-Jones to play shady showgirl Velma Kelly in Best Picture-winning 2002 musical Chicago.

But as shooting began to wind down, the actress learned that she was pregnant, prompting director Rob Marshall to use a body double for certain shots in the remaining dance sequences to be filmed.

Marshall was also unable to feature Zeta-Jones in as many wide shots as he probably would've liked, instead shooting her from the waist-up during the final stages of production to keep her slight bump concealed.

Rather appropriately, though, when Zeta-Jones won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her splendid work on the film, she rocked up to the ceremony eight months pregnant.

Better still, she even performed a song from the movie on the Oscar stage, albeit in decidedly less-animated fashion.
