The Ending We Got

At the end of the third Insidious film, protagonist Elise (Lin Shaye) is taking into The Further by the key-fingered demon who had controlled her abusive father and turned him into a murderous monster. Her niece Imogen - herself gifted with the same powers as Elise) - finds her and they confront the demon, summoning Elise's mother to defeat him and allow them to escape back to the real world to their bodies.

They see a number of red doors and open one to discover Dalton Lambert (Ty Simpkins) from the first two movies, setting up the events of the first movie.

The alternate version does things slightly differently to the final one, with Elise in considerably less immediate peril than the cut version.

It also comes with one of the best/worst kill lines in the history of cinema - "get a breath mint, assh*le!" - and a sequence showing a collection of ghosts being freed from Key Face's cells.
