10 'Alternative' Christmas Films That Still Employ Classic Festive Themes
9. A Christmas Killing Spree: Black Christmas
Before Halloween defined the slasher genre for what it is today, this little film took a sorority party (these always attract serial killers like a bear to honey!) and adds the magic of Christmas to make this a sickening tragic yuletide celebration that none of these party goers ever forget. You've got all the staples here. Strained relationships. Victims lured away by strange noises (cat meows), rumours of people disappearing and mysterious phone calls. But it true Christmas style we get the best Christmassy death of them all; future Lois Lane Margot Kidder stabbed to death with a glass Christmas ornament; the rest of the house oblivious as her screams are drowned out by the choral tones of Christmas carollers! True festive spirit or something more insidious? Perhaps a little of both!

I aim to achieve my goal for writing for television (and get my novels published) but in the meantime I'll continue to write about those TV shows I love!
