One of the best and most unique and memorable soundtracks in recent film history, the soundtrack for Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse is less focused on the showtune stylings of Disney, and more interested in showing off the colour and culture of a film so stylistically distinct; set in New York, one of the most iconic cities in the world.

This film wouldn't have reached the heights that it did without its music. One of the film's most iconic and emotional scenes uses the song What's Up Danger (Black Caviar, Black Way), mixed with an epic orchestral score, to deliver the inspirational gutpunch that is the Leap of Faith scene. That the song uses the same disquieting siren blares that characterised the threatening presence of villain Prowler only adds to the emotional weight of the scene, with the fate of Miles's uncle Aaron.

Other memorable songs include the Latin beats of Familia (Anuel AA, Nicki Minaj), which show Miles's mixed Puerto Rican and African American heritage.

Last, but not least, is Sunflower (Post Malone, Swae Lee), the song that not only topped charts for months after release, but also acted as a symbol of Miles's own identity as his favourite song within the film.
