1. Tony Stark Invents A New Element
Marvel StudiosCould the first place come from anyone other than Tony Stark? The eccentric, enigmatic inventor is certainly a genius. The Iron Man suits prove this, as do Jarvis and the countless minor inventions displayed across the three Iron Man films and The Avengers movie. Despite the clear creativity and inventiveness of the character, the single most important feat of genius was the cure for the potentially fatal poisoning occurring due to the arc reactor in his chest. Inspiration for the cure is eventually drawn from Howard Stark's plans for the World Technology Fair. By removing foliage and exits from the plan Tony Stark was left with the basis for a new element (which he swiftly created). The Arc Reactor went from spreading potent toxins into Stark's body to powering his armour, demonstrating Stark's innate intellect and proving that there is more to Iron Man than the suit.
